Job Title: Shift Leader

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Leader to join our team at The Lingonberry Llama. As a Shift Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our coffee shop, overseeing the day-to-day activities, and providing exceptional customer service. If you have a passion for coffee, excellent leadership skills, and a strong commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team of baristas during assigned shifts, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to company standards.
• Assist with training and onboarding new team members, providing guidance and support to foster their growth and development.
• Coordinate and delegate tasks to ensure efficient workflow and a clean, organized coffee shop environment.
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items, following recipes and quality standards.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints, and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the coffee shop, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Perform cash handling duties, including opening and closing registers, balancing cash drawers, and making deposits.
• Collaborate with the management team to develop strategies for improving sales, customer satisfaction, and overall operational efficiency.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and brewing techniques to provide customers with a knowledgeable and memorable experience.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a coffee shop or similar fast-paced environment.
• Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, drink recipes, and food safety standards.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with professionalism.
• Exceptional customer service skills, with a genuine passion for creating a positive experience for customers.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
• A commitment to upholding high standards of quality and cleanliness.
